ABOUT LAURI LINDQUIST, PHD
I am a licensed psychologist in Tacoma, WA, serving the South Puget Sound region. My draw to the work I do is the belief that we all have inherent value, regardless of the messages we have received from the world around us.
I strive to help my clients identify and change any patterns that no longer serve them, to lead lives that they find meaningful and fulfilling. My approach depends on the client in front of me. While I draw from evidence-based therapies, I also recognize that many of our struggles occur due to a society that bombards us with devaluing messages. I constantly work to be anti-racist, queer affirming, and neurodiversity affirming in my perspective.
I earned my Ph.D. in Psychology in 2016 from The University of Montana. While there, I spent a year working for a campus clinic that supported survivors of sexual assault. For my pre-doctoral internship, I provided behavioral health consultation at a federally qualified health center, HealthPoint Community Health Center, to patients of all ages.
I have spent the past decade working as a school psychologist in Tacoma Public Schools, where I performed hundreds of psychoeducational evaluations through a neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and anti-racist lens.
